I take creatine for recovery and power/strength. Creatine is my "steroid". As for BCAA, i think its enough BCAA in any whey protein supplement. My fav is ON. For creatine i only take Creapure creatine.
Thanks guys, I'll give that a try. Renal function is fine so far, want to keep it that way. 150 g total or supplement?
Unless you manufacture the right handed enantiomer of ALA, you are not only costing yourself a lot of money for nothing, but you will have health problems. Much better and cheaper to run a creatine-glutamine-glucose stack. Garden variety ALA is a long term poison, and you probably know it.
R-ALA (R(+) enantiomer only) is absolutely unnecessary. It's good stuff and I take it, but it's not worth the cost. Same goes for the reduced, DHLA. Sorry, but anyone stating it's "harmful" is simply misinformed. Although the R-enantiomer is more biologically active than the S-enantiomer, administration of alpha lipoic acid actually results in greater formation of DHLA due to a synergistic effect which each enantiomer exerts on the reduction of the other Bast,A; 17:207-213 (2003) http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/biof.5520170120/abstract For those of you willing to piss your cash: http://geronova.com/store/products/bio-enhanced-r-lipoic-acid-veg-caps-300/ An acceptable alternative: http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formula...&lc=en-US&w=jarrow sustain&rc=19&sr=null&ic=4
I bought an injectible BCAA recently that requires reconstitution with nacl bacteriostatic water. I'm noticing some good results when injected im, and before eating.
