If you ate the contents of the jar in one sitting you'd probably be pretty sick. It has no practical LD50 dose. Ubiquinone is in every cell in the body. It's freely mobile (mito-permeability) and is reduced to Ubiquinol (CoQH2) when needed. IOW, do not buy Ubiquinol products as they are a poor-value. I take anywhere from 800mg to 2,000mg daily.
There is a video from a UCSF fellow who discusses Fructose, VLDL and the role in athero and diabetes, etc. I will try to find it now. The Doc's name is Lustig http://pediatrics.ucsf.edu/faculty/robert-h-lustig-md Ahh, Sugar, the Bitter Truth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM
I'll probably use glass jars. Also, are you taking 1tsp po or mixing it in with food or a shake? Also, does it hurt to pour the QoQ10 into the jar (already filled with the warmed coconut oil), then shake to disperse? Stir?
The 14oz coconut oil jar is glass. You can shake it but it's not necessary. You can't hurt it. Shake it if there are any clumps. I just eat it from a spoon.
Sounds great! The above article mentions 25g QoQ10 per 16oz coconut oil yielding 260mg/tsp. The recipe you mentioned shows 56g and 14oz coconut oil. Would this be below a gram/tsp, or is my math off? I'm shooting for around 1,200mg/day +/- and can always make it 1 1/4tsp if needed.
Makes sense. Will do that, and take it right from the spoon vs going in foods. I'm impressed at how the enzyme absorbs via the coconut oil!
Agreed. The reason I like this thread is you're at least out for longevity vs those I read about DAILY on a bodybuilding board I'm a part of, and try to help to no avail as the young guys "know it already" lol. I won't put my body through what I used to. Nope. No way. I'm wanting to step on stage again, but after discovering alcohol after a back injury six years ago, and my Dad's recent passing due to mismanaged diabetes going fatty liver, cirrhosis, then liver cancer, I won't risk things anymore like I used to. The alcohol went bye bye the day I brought a suit to the funeral home to have put on my Dad... (Yes, I needed 25mg Librium tid for the first few days, but that's that.) After surviving being shot in the last months of my second tour in Iraq, I don't think I have any business testing fate these days, as my Dad told me before passing, "looks like you've made the 'nine lives' of cats out to look bad." LOL!
