  1. I used to eat Natto, but can't handle it any more. I lived in Tokyo for 6 months and was surprised that nobody ate it there. I think it was regional (Okinawa). My wife does all this from scratch in the processor. Also have a commercial VitaMix.

I just bought a jar since I posted. The Publix I go to actually had some packaged ground bison, too! First time, I believe. My wife mentioned it after we discussed it here. I bought 12oz and going to grill them tonight (along with a porter house with the fat removed). (Not only do I not have a Costco within 50 miles, but no Trader's either). The company the Bison if from is Maverick Ranch. I haven't opened it yet, but I will within an hour if I'm not warned here!

  3. haha, cook it up. I would add some McCormick Montreal spice or similar and work it into the meat.

Neither is close to me either. I have to travel from Tahoe to Reno to get to both.

Thought I would add a completely o/t funny to this thread. We are talking about training, health, etc., I took my Son to the beach late this afternoon with our dogs. Since I have a very old female pit bull (rescue), I usually drive down the beach (we can do that on certain beaches here in FL), and find a spot where there are no other big dogs, as she still wants to sniff, and people make their comments about her being an "evil" breed... After walking the dogs on the beach, running, walking, etc., my Son and I were walking back to the car, and I noticed two girls, I'd guess early 20's, walking in our direction going wherever they were going. They were wearing shorts, and long-sleeve sweat shirts. One was really hot! Damn! Anyhow, after I got in, and started backing out, they both turned around, pulled up their sweat shirts, lifted their bikini tops, and out comes the titties! I was trying to get my Son to stop looking while I fought my pockets for my iphone. I didn't get a pic, as they put those beautiful things back up, but in addition to having a nice rack, the one in the jean shorts had some wicked abs. I'm not really into chics with abs like that, but this one, and her 9/10 natties... Oh well. My Son was speechless, and I wanted to say something like DAMN! But couldn't. This was a first for me in FL. I'd expect New Orleans, but here? Wow! No, I'm not driving back there this evening, even though I want to drive back there this evening.:D

You guys know exercise tests for our age group, where we can compare our fitness? I am thinking not just one exercise type (like the Cooper test for running) but a combination of exercises...

The idea isn't to compete, but to see how fit we are for our age...

After a quick google, I have found this:

"4 Fitness Tests You Can Do at Home"

I didn't say anything, or even stare. I asked my son if he did anything, but he said no. We were putting the dogs in the car, and I was kind of pre-occupied by getting sand off their feet. Whatever these two gals were up to, I have no clue. Now if it were just me, damn skippy, I would have rolled the window down, and figured out what was going on. LOL! As for my son, he was quite for the short drive home. At 16, I can only imagine what he's thinking. And I don't want to know! Lol

My wife watches me if I look...knife in hand...

Just kidding...the knife is hidden and will only be presented after I've been sewn into the bed sheets during my slumber.

By the way...the bison was awesome, but at 9 bucks for 12 oz, it will be a luxury for now.

    Have a good eve, bro!

Yes, bison, venison, elk, etc., are expensive. If I lived in Colorado, I'd own not one, but two deep freezers for the elk alone. Lol!

And yes, those gals... I need to lower my test dose as I was unable to take my eyes off what they're showing so get my iPhone out for a pic. LOL!
