I don't trade options anymore but I did in my early days with the occasional spread but I am far from an expert in options. My philosophy is that options strategies are great but you still have to know whether the market will go up/down or sideways. I am familiar with them as I passed my series 7 in 1997ish. I don't trade for a hedge BTW. I have considered incorporating option strategies as I realize the edge they provide and maybe time learning at E.T. will help me incorporate them into my simple long/short/flat strategy.

  3. Let me then ask a non-option related question if you do not mind. Could you please answer one of these 2 questions, and if your time allows allows for answering both it would really great:

    1. I read that trading is similar to/same as coin flipping if I were to hire a monkey to do the direction prediction for me. I however do not "understand" why it is the case. Could you explain why this is the case if you think it is the case? If you do not agree, could you explain why?

    2. I also read posts where people say something like, "this strategy is a losing strategy". Would fading the strategy lead to a winning strategy? Please explain why and give your insight. After all if one is losing, should not the opposite be winning?

How can the OP be so dense regarding the spam labels?

Almost everything in this thread is deserved based on his come ons in the first couple of pages. Talk about pushing the edge of telling everyone he was available to manage money, mentor and other things for $$$ ? Somehow, he reminds me of Timothy Sykes (Timmay). Even negative publicity is publicity.

How many different ways did he hint that what he really wants to do is to get publicity and promotions on ET, all without having to prove himself clearly?
