OK, Now I Understand How Republicans Were Supposed To Handle Foley

Discussion in 'Politics' started by AAAintheBeltway, Oct 9, 2006.

  1. Fair enough, there are more important issues than Foley. Too bad our electorate does not vote on issues. If it did Bush would not have been elected in 2000, Bush did not win on issues in 2000, he won because of republicans' "Gore invented the internet" and "Gore was wooden/boring..." smear campaign. Bush did not win on issues in 2004 either, Bush won because Kerry was a "flip-flopper" and because his nuanced positions on issues were according to republican smear machine unamerican while Bush's "strong but wrong" approach was what the doctor ordered.

You just can't have it both ways, you've spent decades dumbing down the electorate because it was convenient for you, don't expect them to suddenly smarten up when it becomes convenient for you. You created this world and sometimes it backfires, get used to it. You told the electorate to despise Kerry's nuanced stances on issues so don't expect them to appreciate your suddenly very nuanced point of view on what Hastert could and should have done. You, instead of debating serious issues, reduced political campaigns to personal attacks, soundbites, talking points, one-liners and catchy phrases - don't act shocked when they (the electorate) find the phrase "Republicans want to fuck teenage boys" catchy and simple enough to understand. As I said in my previous post you reap what you sow.

PS I am sure you understand I don't mean you personally, I am talking about your party.

  2. Gore lost the election because he lost the debates. Period. I worked with the RNC in the fall of 2000 and NOTHING negative was said about Gore. After eight years as VP in a sort of successful administration the election was Gore's to lose. Frankly I was shocked he didn't win going away. But he came off as a whiny little bitch.

I've said it before and Ill say it again. Any political party such as the Democrat's who receives:
    92% of the Black vote
    75% of the Jewish Vote
    75% of the Homosexual vote
    68% of the Mexican Vote
is a party I would NEVER support. I'm a straight, Christian white male and I have no interest in supporting the socialist agenda of anti-white minorities and the duplicitous fat-cat lib politicians who feed off class warfare. Fortunately around half the people (hanging by a chad....er, thread) agree with me.

If I ever sense that the trend has irreversibly changed I'll either move to another country or more likely I'll use my 2nd amendment right and join a militia that guns down those who sell this nation out.

  3. "I'm a straight, Christian white male..."

I've said it before and Ill say it again. Any political party such as the Democrat's who receives:
    92% of the Black vote
    75% of the Jewish Vote
    75% of the Homosexual vote
    68% of the Mexican Vote

So you are a racist, anti Semitic, homophobic bigot.

What a nice headstone that will make....

What the heck, Putzie The Neo-Nazi says it all...

  4. Why were these people mad when Bush was compared to Hitler? They should be proud. This is exactly the profile of a would-be Hitler voter.

  5. Gore lost the post-debate spin and you know that perfectly well. That's what your party is good at - spinning and smearing so don't get all indignant when the table gets turned on you, when your 'dear leader' leaves our borders wide open to hordes of mexicans and muslims you hate so much, when your other white christian conservative leader turns out to be a homosexual pedophile - smart enough not to break the law and stay out of jail but a homosexual pedophile still.

  6. Sorry, you're wrong. Al Gore lost the election because he was to fucking stupid to let Clinton stump for him. Based on that alone his judgement was in question. How the fuck does a guy that is riding the coat tails of a very popular president say, naw Bill, don't need your help. He wanted to be his own man. Well guess what, Al on his own is like choosing to jerk off while looking at a picture, rather than actually fuck a playboy model.

  7. Foley=Leader? LMFAO. Did you even know who Mark Foley was until two weeks ago?

Immigration. Honestly doodoo. Go eat a peach. The Democrat minority has voted virtually unanimously against BOTH House bills in the past several months that enact tougher borders.

The individual prosecutions categorized by the U.S. Attorneys as immigration matters more than doubled from FY2000 to FY2004 -- surging from 16,724 to 37,854. This very large jump means they now make up the single largest category of federal crimes surpassing even drug prosecutions.

During eight years of Clinton one never HEARD the word immigration. Nor the term "gay marriage." But NOW they're WATERSHED issues. You're an idiot.

  8. I'd just as soon rather live in Nazi Germany than be a free market capitalist in America with Pelosi, Boxer, Howard Dean and Barrack Obama in a legislative majority.

  9. Pabst has posted in these threads that Hitler is a personal hero to him, that he believes Hitler was a genius and that history has given him a bad rap.

Bingo. It's difficult to understand how so many people could actually believe that Coulter's writing represents her personal opinion. That piece that AAA posted is the perfect example. It's so absurdly over the top, so clearly designed to evoke a response from a less-than-critical readership.

  10. Hey Troll, find a quote describing Hitler as a "personal hero" of mine.
