It's cool how this guy is pretty discouraged and you kick him when he's down. . . . I hope someday someone returns the favor to you, Champ
You are right and wrong at the same time, imo. You can spend ten years trying to learn the market on your own and get nowhere. Learning from those that do this for a living will cut your loses and will make you a trader in a year. However, I am 99% certain you that there isn't a single person on ET that you can learn this from, unless that person has a firm and you are lucky enough to work for them and learn the ropes. These people on ET or other online forums that tell you they will mentor you for free, or that you pay them and you will learn to trade, well, that is your worst trade of all. Go and work for a firm. If you don't live in Chicago or NY or other financial centers around the world, and are just starting out, you are already a losing trader. Good luck to all of you. nitro
You're just a ray of sunshine, aren't you? And, no doubt, a hit at parties. (As an aside, isn't everyone who is just starting out necessarily a losing trader by definition, since he or she is certainly not a winning trader at that point? And, if so, then what is the point of your observation?)
What would you know? You're only 2 posts in. He might well have a sense of humour. As it is, he can only give this game one year and he's probably right because he can't make a plan that works and he can't follow any plan. And sure as hell he hasn't learnt anywhere near enough to be trading in the first place.
Nitro--- You're okay with me, but admit it, you drink when you post sometimes, right? Just admit it. No, don't argue, just admit it.
Ooops...sorry, Champ I didn't realize you were one of those guys who monitors # of posts in order to justify an opininion. You have 300 posts. You are SOOO COOL!!! You are the Paris Hilton of EliteTrader Man, you are cool
Careful. Champignon doesn't like to be called "Champ." It's just a little too close to "Chimp" for his liking.
In my experience nitro is right and wrong about the financial center concept. It depends on the type of edge you are seeking.

Full of cheek, aren't you newby? But I don't monitor clowns. So why don't you contribute something to the actual thread topic instead? Come on, newby. I will help you; its about the thread opener not being able to follow his plans for trading.
