ya there is a major set up occuring in these and i believe you are right, why sep? because you need time for these to unwind? or just because the roll starts soon? coffee is weak man, look at today and it's up just a few ticks. I will add shorts monday as well

 

yeh its better to roll yen now - cause liquidity will soon dry up in the June contract.

wow! man i wish you woulda caught that. what a wild week man, coffee is dead in the water you are right. wheat is going to run again just watch. what are your HO thoughts next week? i think oil may gap up and take the rest with. what charting program do you use?

 

HO will go where crude goes. But its a better market to trade than CL. its like ES and E2.

I use 3 platforms, esignal and tradestation and openecry running on 6 monitors. i also trend follow em indices day trading using tick charts, like today amazing day

Hey guys,

Well kicking myself on not having bought futures in OJ and instead playing it with the Call option but whatever. Cocoa did wonderful today and Sep traded to 2920.

I was trying to sell the 2800/2900 spread at 65 today and was unable so ended up making markets in it just to see if anyone cared to trade either side. Made em 55/65, nothing. Made em 52/62, nothing , finally made em 50/55 and got hit so now I'm long 2 spreads at an average of 45.5 pts. Spread settled at 54 with Sep cocoa settling in around 2860 in ICE trading (not sure why it faded though during ICE session after pit closed and Oil was rallying. Made me a bit weary)

I like the trade and if you look at LIFFE Cocoa we actually took out the previous high so hopefully NYBOT will do so and take out the 3,000's. Question will be when to liquidate the spread. Anything over 2,900 and the spread is worth 100 on expiration- but that's til August 1st I think..

Shagi, unfortunate on the HO trade, that would've been some mad money, but no point in looking back.

Agreed that coffee looks weak. Need to look at the COT today.

Any Yen option ideas?
