i never covered my short meals, dec looks like it put in a reversal bar on the daily but oh well. I could really fuck up a good spread and profit.K.I.S.S right? Coffee at these levels is attractive and lumber has held up well despite the great sell off of all commodities. Im leary about adding more to my Positon though. entered long platinum short gold today. Tx hows it going? Shaqi whats up my man?
went to grocery store last night and the cheap price of spot and futures OJ isn't reflected in the store price jesus it was outrageous!
i am chatty today lol but for an almost 'risk free" trade by march cbot sell may cbot wheat. Full carry is like 15 cents or so. its at 13 cents now. Anything bullish happens with wheat (not looking likely but hey you never know) and you could see a nice gain
For me today, went long Dec. Cocoa at 1950, put a half size long position on in Dec. coffee @107.75, still a little worried about that one though. Lumber I'm still holding off on, as well as some of the grains...one or two more nice down days will get me buying them in full force. Also, spreading some wheat at MGEX, bought the March/July spread, not expecting much out of it, 20cents max probably, but the R/R is good. The Dec/March spread also a little out of whack there, but open interest is flowing out of the Dec at a good pace now, so I didn't want to enter with that going on. Finally, I've got orders working to sell some 88 puts in Dec Live Cattle, probably won't get filled though...for some reason I've never had good luck in cattle options with fills unless just straight out hitting the bid or offer.
thanks for the heads up on CBOT wheat Rtrader....I must be having a brain lapse today...I looked at KCBT and MGEX, but not CBOT...yeesh!!
