agriculture plummets as a rapid swing to take advantage of high prices, leads to huge supplies and inventories.. deflation...
those 175 auggie coffee calls I sold are damn near worthless now! Time to move on to the sep options and sell some 175 and 180 calls for around 3-4 bucks. Still got my oct 12/14c 1x2 sugar spread I bought for .22
i took a two week hiatus from trading it was good for me. Im glad I did I feel much better mentally. you guys got anytrhing going on
nope, but today's sharp reversals are just proof that taking profits is good discipline, and being a pig trying to get the absolute last penny of a move is foolish. glad I took the money when I did on the cocoa call spreads. RTRAD , how is ur crude spread going?
Does anybody know how deep the option decks are in OJ. i was trying to sell Sep 1050 puts all day @ 80. The bid ask was 65-130. Granted it's a relatively thin soft deck but come on. No locals willing to nap a put @80.
coffee is maming that huge dowm move that I knew it would make, damnit. Oh well i coulda caught 20 fucking cents two times but what can you do. I'm a little aggravated with myself. We will probably retest the 134.00 range and if we break it see ya later!! look out below
civera Got any ideas on my oct 12/14 ratio spread? I put that spread on when those 12 calls had a vol of 34% and the 14 had a vol of 36% (not exactly sure but I think those are the right vols). Now after checking out today's settlement prices It looks like the 12 call has a vol of 23% and the 14 call has a vol of 42% or something like that.......is it possible for vol to get that out of wack? However it looks like the 14's traded about 1 hour later than the 12's did so I guess if the 12's were to trade right now they would probably have a higher vol......so I checked the 12 put and it traded roughly at the same time the 14's traded and they have the 12 puts at around 40% vol so.......... Thoughts?
