Oil Volcano Pressure Too Strong For Containment?

  2. The article gives a real good explanation of the problem. The garden hose analogy was spot on.
    If my guess is correct and 3000 PSI is what's coming out, that's still one hell of a lot of pressure. Cap that and it will find the next weakest point, which appears to be beneath the ocean floor. That's catostrophic! We may be witnessing the beginning of the entire gulf being turned in to one giant oil slick.
    Another not so little issue coming up is tropical storms and hurrincanes. It won't take anything like a CAT 3 to make a real mess of things. Any tropical storm with 60-70 MPH winds will blow that crap all over the shoreline, and it's a given that some type of storm is coming during the next couple of months. Doesn't have be be near a Katrina to spray that oil all over creation.
    I'd like to poke some fun at the Al Gore crowd right about now, but it ain't time for jokes. This is some serious shit we're witnessing.
