Pre market action in SIFs is, I mean, unbelievable. FED cuts emergency rate by 50 basis. The problem is not the rate level, they can cut to zero and markets would have similar response, perhaps even more violent. I know some of what is happening. I am not sure I can talk about it, but I will tell you this: Traders can't borrow money to go long because clearing firms have no more money to lend. The fact that Treasure Bills are at .5% is not an accident. People pulling money from ML and GS like they were lepers. So instead, in order to "borrow" from the market because they can't borrow from clearing firm, traders put on riskless positions that gives them a net credit, at a small loss, so they can trade and protect the rest of their positions. THAT CAUSES MARKETS TO GO DOWN. It is imperative to infuse money into clearing firms. That means Goldman Sachs, ML, Fortis etc have to be rock solid and there has to be zero fear that money in them is safe. nitro
L ES 1004.00. SPX sticking it's head above 1000 is now bullish. I would not sell this market now with your money intra day. Profit target, at least 1020. A failure is dangerous. Stop loss 3 handles. nitro
