OIL $70, gas shortage coming

Discussion in 'Commodity Futures' started by capmac, Aug 30, 2005.

  1. is that realtime data or delayed you are looking at?

I wish the NYMEX had e mini NY contracts ... on HO and HU ... then I could at least track them real time without relying on a subscription to a data vendor ...

so for now I only have real time QM for e mini NY crude

and although I do have real time for e mini nat gas

there is no way I would trade that contract.

  2. THIS:

is a two decade chart for unleaded gas. It does not include this month.

    Today's close was $2.48

There isn't even room on a two-decade chart for such a high number. I doubt people fully realize the implications yet.

I did. Am short heavy in SPY.

You may be right to short the market here. Or the market can go up another 20 cents tomorrow. Are you willing to take the risk?

  5. took the risk yesterday at 1214.50

    and before that at 1221.00

    and before that at 1232.00

would also be a seller over 1210.50 here at the close... but not enough capital

Oops. You probably meant shorting the S&P. I thought you meant shorting gas. My bad.
