If I can't find an edge or trade into the surface of a barrier so as to take profit on the hedge to offset and generate income, or understand the odds of the game in that when played, poker is one of very few that contains an edge as long as your playing at the correct level with large enough bankroll to sustain short term draw down, and your ante doesn't destroy your edge... hmmm, sounds a bit like trading...

So ask yourself are you just lucky or on a winning streak or is their an implied edge that can be worked... a few of my recent trades have been a learning experience in trying to make directional trades with negative or little edge as I'm still not able to model them correctly, learning experience to be sure...

  2. If you bet on enough horses your are going to win. But they should not earn a living either, just like oil traders.

If you can't earn a living or put math to it and find and edge then it sounds like just a hobby to me ;)

Funny how this happened during the Obama admin and not Bush. Just proves that liberals are only pro-choice on abortion, everything else they want to regulate to no end.

The sweeping 52-page indictment alleges that the companies, based offshore, used "fraudulent methods" to get around U.S. anti-gambling laws "and to receive billions of dollars from U.S. residents who gambled through the Poker Companies."

Meanwhile GS is now fully backed by the full faith and "deteriorating" credit of the US, all so they can trade the worlds biggest hedge fund??????

Are you yanks completely out of your minds?
