2. Used car dealers are usually total scumbags too.
I guess that means you're hoping the feds raid them all, shut them down, and steal all their assets?

3. I believe the Feds can only seize US domain names: .com, .us, .net

4. Less freedom is never a good thing, and anyone who is able to see a 'bright side' to any of this needs an urgent refresher course on how liberty works.
If you want the freedom to do things that other people don't approve of, you need to give other people the freedom to engage in consensual activities that you might not like. This is kind of a big deal, since it's the foundation this entire country was built upon.

PartyPoker was the largest, could still be... Not long after their IPO the US disallowed moving money around via banks, CC, Paypal etc...

They(Party and affiliates) also put up displays on accts that were US based at that time and disallowed deposits and any real money play from those accts..., so I saw this coming and went back to trading about 4 or so years ago when I was playing 10 tables at a time and was moving money all the time from site to site so as to take advantage of their edge loss when they were paying out $200 plus on new or comeback offers i.e. "we haven't seen you for a while, put up $500 and play 500 hands and get $200 or more in bonus." along with rake kickbacks etc..., as a winning player at about 1.5 big bets per hour long term, this was all Icing on the cake for me.

Hope you didn't have much tied up there...

I think the long term strategy will play out with US online poker sites being able to open eventually and taxation of those places being the end play... Deficit stabilization and long term reduction...

This could potentially be a signal regarding some of the binary, barrier and OTC shops that don't have legit options and would explain vanilla's coming to Oanda in the future...

7. Why are you putting words in my mouth? Do you even understand the comparison your making? They don't launder money. These guys are crooks and tried to take every angle around the law they could.

Car salesmen sell cars. They sell an asset. There's a lot of jobs that depend on it. There are livelihoods that depend on those cars being sold.

Gambling sites, sell nothing. Gambling? There's nothing creating/made. It's a worthless service that creates nothing but problems.

ha, liberty works? Idk where you came up with this. I can see some regulation a problem, but not this. This is counterproductive at best.

8. Just because your probably a losing player in poker, doesn't make it gambling. Poker is a game of skill. The companies indicted were Poker sites. Not Gambling sites. These aren't sportsbooks or slot casino's we're talking about here. Poker is much like trading stocks. Only the strong survive. I guess brokerage firms are worthless services that create nothing but problems as well. Maybe the feds should shut down the stock market while their at it.

They just provide a service, the real scumbags are walking free and many of the are in the US government. This is a shining example of US type "regulation", basically the Las Vegas lobby group getting it's moneys worth - government for hire.
I suppose if they play their cards right, the poker companies might get EU to do some damage to real-life American casino operators in Europe - there are only a few; I wouldn't bet on it though (excuse the pun).

10. That is like saying penny slots don't make any money. Casinos are in the business of losing money.

Can you imagine the players seeking refuge in legal domiciles right now?
