1. This is what Federal law enforcement does with their resources instead of going after real criminals.

    Who is John Galt?

  2. An interesting read into how this may have unfolded..

The internet is still coming to grips with the huge online gambling bust that just took down the U.S.'s three biggest online poker sites.

But Australia's Courier-Mail newspaper already has the scoop on the one man who may have single-handedly built the online industry ... then handed it to the U.S. government on a platter.

    Google the name: Daniel Tzvetkoff

  3. You yanks should get a bunch of newbie traders if they can't play poker any more. All good I would think.

Beautiful story Chkit ... seems that the snakes bit the aussie and then discovered that aussie snakes are the most venomous in the world. Bad luck boys. :)

I would say that the Poker revoluton was created by online and TV games. In the end online poker created large numbers of new gamblers many who traveled to Vegas just for poker.

Five years ago there were very few poker rooms in Vegas now every hotel has huge poker rooms

That's because poker rooms are money losers for casinos. They only have them so you dont go out of their hotel to seek a poker game. The rake does not cover the free boooze, the floor space and the people working that sapce.

Thats why they have everything you need in the hotel even if it doesnt make them money...

You can still go to fulltiltpoker.co.uk and logon through their system if you have the software, but US players can't play real money games. They say US players' money is safe, but who knows when they'll get it back. You can play the free card games, though.

  7. Why does the US govt interfere with its citizens gambling offshore or online?

Why does the govt disallow its citizens from buying medicine from foreign pharmacies and shipping to US at substantial savings?

Why does the govt disallow its citizens from buying cigarettes online from a foreign supplier and shipping to US for personal consumption?

Why does the US govt get 10-years of income tax after you renounce citizenship and leave the country. Its a freaking trap.

If memory serves me right, Full Tilt was started by a few Bright Traders. Dont know if they sold out or if they are the ones involved.

+1. I prefer live poker, but it is an absolute death grind. Luckily I hate playing online poker.
