You're right! And when I look around at the school I volunteer at virtually all of the volunteers are white!

But they were poor and didn't make much $$. They just apparently persevered rather than giving up. Others can do the same. I see a few parents of kids I work with working 2 jobs trying to improve their lives. But the majority have an "I don't care" and "I deserve my handouts" mentality. They've been on welfare etc. so long they feel it's their right.
