You're doing an amazing job with your thread here. I've profited from your endeavors, not in terms of info I'm interested in giving out in any anonymous blog, but for my own proprietary modelling. Hope it's helping you as well. Sincerely, Jimmy Jam P.S. Just had to post that, give thanks were it's due.
I think we all make mistakes ALL THE TIME. Giving up is not the answer, and you know that already. That is why you are still struggling. But, don't beat yourself up over the mistakes. It only reinforces negative sentiment. What your conscious mind dwells on most of the time, seeps into your subconscious eventually. When that happens the game is over. So whenever you have a setback, do something other than reviewing the negative results. For example do some breathing exercises, meditate, listen to positive tapes, review your positive affirmations.... do anything but review your negative results. After letting some time pass, and you feel confident that you have centered yourself (i.e. removed yourself from the barrage of negative feelings) then calmly look at your bad trade. You will be in a better frame of mind to reach some logical conclusions as well as a path to removing whatever caused you to enter into that bad trade (or exit the trade at a bad time). This process may not help every single time, but it will help at least 70% of the time. Don't fear mistakes. Accept them as part of being human. How we react to them (or even how we benefit from them) is what distinguishes a successful person from a not-so-successful person. This applies, as you know, not only to trading but every thing in life.
Sorry to butt in, just trying to understand something. Price range is .75 low to high so far, that makes .25 Net gain at best, so how did you clear $170.00 trading 5 lots on .25 gain?
You must realise that No Answer from you - means you are FOS, as I thought you might have been. Your journal is useless to ETers and to you as well, you just haven't realised that, yet. I don't see any value here, just a waste of space on ET's server.
Boy, quite a storm was brewing, while I was sleeping.... I quite agree that you (and many others) may not see any value here in this thread. Then, please stop reading it. A master- trader like you, has time to waste on a useless thread like this, is VERY surprising. I am sure other readers are also intelligent enough to NOT bother with useless threads like this. The only thing that is of greater surprise to me (than you wasting your valuable time reading and posting on my thread) is your conclusion that it is of no value to me. Let ME be the judge of what is of use to me. That much is NOT unreasonable to ask, I hope.
I am not a prop trader, do not work at an office filled with people to chat to, I am retail and have no company at times of boredom, very sad I know, what's your excuse then? I am still waiting for an answer. If you prove me wrong I will admit to being an ass.
First, I have NO interest in proving any one to be anything other than what they claim. I accept people on face value. Secondly, my objective is very clear from the beginning of this thread. I intend to learn from my journal. I, and only, I know what will benefit me. Thirdly, I have no grandiose plans to teach any one anything. SO hopefully I am not a disappointment for those looking to learn from this journal. Lastly, I will not be dragged into silly arguments with any one and get distracted from my goal... trading and training to be a better trader. As a consequence of my last statement, I am going to put ROMIK on ignore from now on. So if there is any one else reading, and, see that I am not responding to his posts, know that I can not see his future posts, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, will not be distracted by his posts from what I consider to be my MISSION... trading. Parenthetically I will add that any one who questions my trade(s) poses no anguish to me, because I don't depend others approval or their trust in my trades. There are people (or entities) who I need to trust me: 1 IRS agent (he/she will authenticate my trades by collecting taxes on them 2. Mortgage Banker (they cash my check for mortgage payment) 3. My grocer ( they sell me food if the credit card I give them is good). If you are not in any of these categories, it really does not matter if you do not believe my trades. That is the LAST comment on this subject.
