Hello Goodday, have you considered putting your trades up before they close out? It would certainly be more interesting seeing where you got in and when you got in then see your results. I don't gleen any nuances from just your results. Thanks J
Good Morning. Sorry, I did not see this question until was ready to post my new trade. I believe I have addressed this issue before, but in case I was not clear, let me address it again and hopefully do a little better job. Most of my trades are 1-3 minute duration. Once I place my trade, I am involved in monitoring the trade and do not have the t time (or the peace of mind) until I close it. One thing you can count on, at least 90% of the time, is that I post within a minute of my closing the trade, since I dont have any more distractions, or matters that need more of my attention. SO you can usually check the five minute bar as of my posting, and can easily see where I did (or could have) entered and exited. The only time there is a great lag between the time I enter and exit the trade is if the market is going against me. I will write more about this when I have a little more time. SO bear with me. Right now, the market needs my attention.
My Response : 1. I agree that you do not see the ânuancesâ from the results. This journal is NOT the right one for you, if you are looking to see the âmethodâ â that is when and how the signals are generated to open and close a trade. There are plenty of excellent journals on ET that do that and do it well. 2. I have mentioned many of the technical indicators I use to make the trade decision in this journal, but my emphasis and GOAL are not in pursuing âmethodâ related issues here. 3. I started this journal to hold myself accountable for issues relating to risk management, money management and psychological management. Therefore you see less emphasis on methodology in this journal. 4. I am very happy with my method and less happy with the other 3 factors mentioned. So I am monitoring my trades here for progress in these areas. If any one feels these are issues that they also need to deal with in their own trading, then there is benefit for them in these postings. Others will find it a waste of time. 5. I will continue posting until I feel satisfied that my issues are resolved. When I feel happy about ALL aspects of my trading as well as results, this journal will cease to exist. It willl also stop if I see that I am getting more involved in posting the journal rather than in improving my trading. HOPE THIS HELPS IN UNDERSTANDING MY GOALS.
Yep, some very generous folks hereabouts Yep to this one two, this is actually where the battle is won or lost ... Yep again, keep intu'itin. Don't worry about the post'in, just keep the conversation going with your higher trader self, it's tell'in ya what ya needs to know. Pretty much, because, while mine are not the same, they use the same process. Path's right there, just stay on it. Best, JJ
Thanks JJ, you have been a great treasure on this site. Very few, by the way, I consider to be a treasure.... I am glad to make your acquaintance.
