Oh no Canada

  1. Anyone else here ever try to daytrade Canadian stocks? What's your opinion? It's bad enough already that we pay way too much for comissions and such but there are far worse problems for us. Take a close look at the spread between the bid and ask prices on the TSX as compared to any US markets. Traders often end up paying that spread. For 1000 shares in Canada with a typical 10 cent spread it can cost you about $100. In the US with the typical 2 cent spread it's only about $20. Patriotism can get pretty expensive eh?

You should look at the NYSE. It'll make you feel better.
