    1. Plus, people who go to the grocery store and see their bill has more than doubled and the amount of food they get comes in smaller packages.

    2. I asked my sons and their friends what's going on... is everyone they know voting for Harris (college and recent grads were over for a birthday party)

They mostly all agreed it comes down to two things.
Abortion on one side and those of us who want to have a chance of being able to buy a house in the next 5 years.

They said they were surprised that some of their liberal friends are very concerned about never being able to afford home or have a decent life style in the future. Just a small sample size, I know, but I think those two issues are real for their age group and others. And shit is crazy expensive in California. Carne Asada Burritos are now 13 to 16 dollars in take out places.

My entire life they told us that the number one issue for the party in power is the economy. Now... all of a sudden I never see the press saying that. Frankly... I don't think the Republicans hammered that issue well enough. Its not just are you better off than you were 4 years ago... but where will you be 4 to 8 years from now...

trump would not solve any problems for average people.

    he doesn't care about them.

he wouldn't cut energy prices or whatever.

(and if - it would be socialism ...)

The burden of proof is on the person making wild claims in face of (the complete lack of) produced evidence.

    Agreed...
    Narrative absent proof is bullshit.
Whether its election fraud or the efficacy of something you are forcing on others.

One does not have valid "concerns" if they have no evidence, they have fantasy.

@jem I saw on your profile that you're in southern CA. I am in nothern CA. As you've expressed some sharp insights, I'm curious about your opinion on why CA is so consistently Dem when the Dems have degraded the CA lifestlye and economy over recent years? I barely recognize this place anymore. Why do CA voters cut their own throats by keeping the Dems?

Virtually all economists believe trumps policies will be more inflationary than Harris. That’s why rates are moving up as betting markets more favorably towards Trump.

Harris won a fortnight ago really as that's when the old heads say other than a catastrophe, the die is cast. I'm just fingers crossing for Dan Osborne to take a Senate seat from an incumbent, as an independent. This could serve as a model for the future. Actually good candidates as independents.
