Surprise! Americans now think the economy is amazing. It’s almost as if republicans express their displeasure with democrat presidents by indicating poor economic sentiment, no matter the conditions.

Noem used her MAGA clout to scam free dentures. I’m sure she has appeared in guns and trailers magazine more than once. Who hasn’t thrown a dog into a ditch and shot it? Am I right or am I right?

Anyway, this cabinet and presidency is the republicans problem now. Trump is putting up some real doozies and either republicans are going to fight with him or give him his way. Either way I think now is a good time to get into Orville Redinbocker stock.

Harris was a terrible candidate & she hitched her future to Clinton operatives. That was a disaster. She never really had to run a real campaign & its obvious how she got as far as she did -- cronyism. It's a mystery to me why the Democrats thought someone who never really ran a serious campaign & lost to 10 contenders in 2020 was going to beat Trump. I don't who's running the Democrats these days but that was a terrible decision.

I've lived in the SF bay area since Feinstein was mayor due to Moscone's assassination & she was one of the most unpopular DAs until recently. The Chronicle used to have hit pieces on her daily back then.

Even her DA election was boosted by her association with the most corrupt SF politician -- Willie Brown. Then she was handed the Senator seat. She didn't really campaign for that either. She was basically gifted that by the Democratic machine here in California. It's not hard to see why she lost badly.

Except that's not really what "consumer sentiment" is about. In most consumer sentiment surveys is a "forward looking component", which is what you're seeing here.

And I can take your comment and twist it around the other way:

"Surprise! Americans now think the economy sucks. It’s almost as if democrats express their pleasure with democrat presidents by indicating great economic sentiment, no matter the conditions."

  9. Yep.

When consumer sentiment goes up but the right track-wrong track poll shows that three quarters of voters think the country is on the wrong track, that ain't a vote of confidence for the current admin. It's a sign that there is hope beyond them.

Indeed. The real issue is mal-distribution. GDP is an aggregate, "Per capita" this that and the other thing are only averages.
