And for Julie Swetnick -- who among other allegations accused Kavanaugh of sexually aggressive behavior at alcohol-fueled parties when he was in high school -- the accusation was deemed not credible by the White House, so it was not part of what the FBI was instructed to look at, according to a source briefed on the investigation.

White House spokesman Raj Shah said Thursday that the scope of the investigation was set by the Senate, although the White House ordered the supplemental FBI investigation to be conducted.

"There was an initial list of four provided to us by the Senate. They were interviewed and leads were followed up on," Shah said on CNN's "New Day."

But Republican senators said they didn't provide the FBI with a list of who should be contacted.

"We did not come up with a list people who the FBI should interview," said Sen. Mike Lee, a Utah Republican. "The FBI was requested to conduct an investigation into any and all credible, current accusation of sexual misconduct by Judge Kavanaugh. And they FBI made the decision from there as to who to interview."

  5. So the FBI is supposed to investigate claims made by every fringe lunatic with another story? The sluts story fell apart under the most easy, softball questions. She attends 10+ gang bang parties and never says anything? She has no credibility, none?
The left wants this investigation to be run like the witch hunt on Trump, that won't be concluded until every Russian on the planet is interviewed. And at the end of it all not a single democrat will change their minds regardless of any FBI investigation. You are in bed with people who said they'd vote no before they knew who the nominee was, and who said they believed Ford before they ever heard a word of testimony. Pointless to keep accommodating their lunatic demands.

House Democrat Promises Kavanaugh Investigation if Party Wins Control

WASHINGTON — House Democrats will open an investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct and perjury against Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh if they win control of the House in November, Representative Jerrold Nadler, the New York Democrat in line to be the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said on Friday.

  9. Great campaign issue. Go for it.

Probably the republicans will be the first to argue that that is what the dems will do.

The when they see the impact on voters, the dems will argue that no one ever said they would do that.

    Good luck wit dat.

Trump claims women who confronted Sen. Flake in elevator were ‘paid professionals’

U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter Friday to bash the two women who confronted Republican Sen. Jeff Flake in the elevator last week — calling them paid professionals.
    Story continues below

The two women, who said they are sexual assault survivors, stopped Flake on his way to Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination hearing on Sept. 28. Flake said he was going to vote in favour of Kavanaugh’s nomination, who has been accused of sexual assault by California professor Christie Blasey Ford.

One of the two protesters who confronted Flake in the elevator is Ana Maria Archila, an executive director of the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD). The other protester, Maria Gallagher, is an activist with the group. The CPD is indeed heavily funded by George Soros through the Open Society Foundation.

“You are telling all women they don’t matter … that they should just stay quiet. That’s what you’re telling all of these women in America, that they don’t matter,” one of the women said through tears.

But Trump said the women are professionals paid by billionaire investor and liberal donor, George Soros.

“The very rude elevator screamers are paid professionals looking to make Senators look bad. Don’t fall for it! Also, look at all of the professionally made identical signs. Paid for by Soros and others. These are not signs made in the basement from love!” Trump tweeted.

The women who confronted Flake were Maria Gallagher and Ana Maria Archila, sexual assault survivors who are now being hailed as activists who may be “changing the course of history.”

Archila, a Queens resident, is the co-executive director at the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD), an organization that works toward creating an “inclusive, equitable society” by advocating for “communities of colour, immigrants, working families, youth, women and the LGBTQ community.”
