Off Topic Software Question

I am looking to buy some basic software that allows me to draw a grid of Squares on my PC at different measurements and then print it out.Any feedback on what software can perform this task would be appreciated,

 

Ok, I'm a little lost here. Can't you do a custom grid with most basic wordprocessing softwares?
