Off-shore real estate

  1. I was wondering are there any countries with good tenant laws and decent returns for rental properties? I know here is N.Y. prices are out of control. You would be lucky if you could rent out an investment property and break even. Other problem is laws here favor tenants it can take you months to evict a tenant and everything falls on the landlord for residential property at least?

  2. Major "foreign" real estate markets are declining. If you feel lucky, you could investigate things on the island of Montserrat in the Caribbean. Hopefully, there won't be another volcanic eruption during your lifetime. If Castro dies soon, Cuba could open up big-time. Southern Louisiana might have potential if you don't mind the clean up. Check 'em out!
