Week's take was two trades. A long position and a credit spread.

    5 Nov Calls sold at $700 - $36 comm = net + $664

    50 OEX 540/545 Credit spread calls @ .15 cents was $750 - $160 comm. = + net $590

Total for this week of trading was + $1254

PRETTY MUCH THINK I HAVE MY TWO TRADING SYSTEM DOWN FOR EACH WEEK. NOW TO WORK ON A THIRD TRADE STRATEGY. STILL EXPERIMENTING WITH that.

  2. Belize 7:30 a.m. Monday for North American Stock markets opening, on this Monday morning.

HURRICANE RICHARD went through here last night. Hit the coast at a Force 2, and passed over us a 100 miles inland at Force 1. Bit of debris around today. The electricity has been off since yesterday evening. Running the computer on battery backup power and can only hope the electricity comes back on in the next hour. Of two internet providers, BTL is off the connection, but SMART is still operating and so we are able to continue business. Had been thinking of cashing in my SMART and cancelling it. But guess I will keep it as a backup, which it is right now.
See the market jumped at the OPEN, that is interesting. Hoping for two trades again this week.
My breadfruit tree lost some big branches and most of the flowering shrubs lost their flowers. Otherwise okay!

  3. Good to hear you are safe.

At 2:46PM today, models felt the winds of a possible storm.

Put sellers might get hammered in few short days if this storm hits the street.

  4. falconview, great to hear that you dodged another one! I know what living in the huricaine belt is like, and I was not a big fan of it! (other than the great weather and beautiful water).

    Good luck with the electricity.

  5. Trading Journals, Michael Stanford and other friends.

Got an order in today Monday for PUTS in the OEX, then later in the day realized I had bought a weekly order and not the monthly NOV order. Rapidly ran upstairs to my trading room and using battery power for the computer, got out of that order with + $50 and after $36 in commissions ended up with a net of + $14. Braggadocious on that one. Didn´t lose, which was the excercise.
Re-entered the PUT order in November and by closing of the afternoon not quite to Break even. Lets see what happens tomorrow?

Even a small Hurricane like Richard at level Force 1 can sound in the middle of the night like a BANSHEE, a moaning groaning sound that echoes around the house. With the background of a loose roof zinc on a backyard shed, clattering away in the wind gusts, it sure sounded like heck though. All over by 1 in the morning after 3 hours of it. Lost some papaya trees, the breadfruit tree lost some big forks of the breadfruit tree and the other house up on the ridge a block away, got the rear chain link fence squashed flat, blown down by the neighbors banana plants. Get everything fixed back up by the weekend I expect.
Electricity back on by nightfall and back to trading tomorrow.

Well my straight buying of PUTS worked out good. Put on yesterday late, this morning I got out at $14, bought at $12 yesterday and made a net after commissions + $964

5 contracts Nov. PUTS OEX 540 at $12.00, sold at $14.00
    16% return on capital invested. ( $6000 )

Net +$964 with my other $14, that makes +$974 for this week. Tomorrow I start looking for a weekly credit spread.
