Took the words right out of my mouth. Poor futures data was what made me move to OEC from OXPS for daytrading futures a few months ago......gods I hope this isn't a preview of things to come!

  3. They were down 34 mins. total. I'm hoping this was a 1-time thing. Like I said, since they resolved the problems earlier in the year, they have been rock steady for months now. Not even a minute downtime that I can recall until today.

  4. MBAgearhead......I respectfully disagree with you about the
amount of time ...I believe it was closer to an
hour.....but for me the problem was how they
handled it.....just like the last time they had
issues they insisted the system was
coming right back up.....they offered to get me
out of my trade...put me on hold..and 2 minutes
later I was disconnected.....after that they didnt
    even answer

Its obvious you like these people...and thats
great....but Ive seen enough to close my
    account asap.....

look at the last broker rating for OEC
quintrix had it right......I hope some people
    listened to him..........

Either way....best of luck to you

  5. This is the real issue for me. I understand systems go down, but it's how you handle it that matters to me....

  8. Has OEC given any feedback as to the EXACT reason for their problems?

  9. "Today at approximately 11:19 ET OEC experienced a disruption in service. While we pride ourselves on providing a solid robust solution we were unable to prevent the issue today. As an added benefit to our direct clients and introducing brokers, OEC builds its statements real-time. Today this real time application malfunctioned causing a disruption in service. The issue was isolated and resolved. We expect no further disruptions."
