  2. Hi Mike,

Just out of curiosity, how did you land your current job without a degree?

Good luck with your new venture! :)

It is done. I have completed my first week with Bright Trading. The next hurdle is Boot Camp. My Boot Camp training will start Bright and early Monday morning.

After one week here are my thoughts:

These guys are definitely the real deal. I am impressed. The owners of the firm and the top traders conduct all of the training in person. (Think about it, when is the last time the owners of your firm worked one-on-one with newbies?) The information taught is relevant, valuable, and proven. These guys know the business and they still actively trade. They know what is going on and share that knowledge. They show you what works. Most importantly they teach you WHY certain strategies work. They give you an edge.

I can hardly wait to continue my training. I honestly believe that this is a pivotal moment. I am in a position, with the right people, to alter the direction of my life forever.

Well, I have survived my first month of trading fill-time. Survived, but not unscathed. It has been much harder than I thought. My biggest enemy to date is myself. My thinking is flawed. I still default to thinking like an investor rather than a trader.

I have much to learn. It will take some time, but I have committed to succeeding. I am definitely do enjoy it, so failure is not an option. I will just keep working harder, constantly

The most profitable strategy for me so far is definitely the Bright Opening Order strategy. It definitely works, not 100%, but nothing does. It takes time to get comfortable, but it does work.

    mike,

Is only trading this strategy sufficient to scratch out a living?

  7. Hope you keep this going. This kind of journal I find interesting. It is a battle with yourself. Hopefully professional help will shorten the learning curve.

  10. I am new to this website and just saw this post. Still can't stop laughing, has anyone been to the bright website? It is run by the bright family and look like the assistant managers to a trailer park. Why would they teach people to trade if they have something that works? It doesn't make any sense. Sorry you had to learn a hard lesson from this Mike, but who moves from Chicago to Las Vegas to trade? I moved to Chicago to trade. Well maybe others saved money from your experience. ANd since when is bright trading a leading firm? Leading what?
