We don't agree on Obama , but nevertheless I appreciate your humor. You made me laugh.

It will take the Congress to lift the embargo. I suppose the Republicans will throw Rubio under the bus. Too much money to be made, and besides when is the last time the Republicans went against the Chamber of Commerce? Rubio is a typical Republican, very smart, but an intellectual lightweight. There is no way that the embargo on Cuba makes any sense.

Obama has made a few very bad decisions, but I would say he has more often just been inept . How nice it is to have him show some real leadership on the Cuba issue.

Best way to "evolve" Cuban society is to bring them on board and get them to a place where they want to stay. Obama is spot-on here.

  3. I don't see this as a bad move. Might even be a good one long term. Bigger issues than this to get all twisted up about. Rubio is just trying to stay relevant. He's not.

  4. I can't imagine the republicans would go along. Of course, they seem very willing to sell out their principles.

This is not an hispanic issue, per se, as cubans and latin american hispanics have historically not been that close politically. This is about acknowledging the marxists and red diaper babies, like obama, of the democrat party. They can drag out their Che teeshirts and imagine they are handing with their lifelong idol Fidel. I'm sure obama would love to go to Havana and be toasted by the commie thugs there. Maybe he wanted to make sure he could get there before fidel croaked. Being embraced by fidel has no doubt been a lifelong dream of obama. It would be a fitting tribute to his miserable presidency.

I won't agree with my fellow conservatives here, but I don't see any reason to continue a stupid policy of isolating a small Caribbean island nation that is impoverished and of no harm to anyone but themselves.

The best way to have the people change their views is to infuse them with Western culture, not isolate them from it. I think this was a good move by Obama.

As for Lucrum, he was banned with Atticus when the two of them couldn't behave themselves.

  10. How's that working in the ME?

For >50 years, America shunned Cuba because they were Communist. Now we're gonna embrace them as per Odumbo's directive... why? Because they're Hispanic would be my guess.
