But wait, I thought all the liberals were convinced that I live underneath my mom's trailer (or is it my dads?) and that I photoshopped pictures of my home, vehicles, dogs and my mountain and made up stories of my career, education and aviation qualifications.

You can't have it both ways. Which is it?

The fact is I own the biggest flag I could find online, 8'x13' if I remember correctly and have a institutional-sized flagpole. As soon as we have a President that isn't a dictatorial monster seeking the utter enslavement of US citizens I will raise that flag again. The whole town can see my flag for maybe 10 miles in every direction. When they ask why it isn't flying I tell them just what I've told you here.

Just curious, what did you do for your country after 9/11? Have you any idea what I did?

  2. FWIW, I have never questioned your patriotism, dogs, or cars, or anything else personally. I disagree with your opinion on our President on many points, but not on all. As noted on other threads. I have flown my flag for several generations, several Presidents, proudly and without reservation. To me, the flag represents the best of America, despite the political differences. And, of course, I respect your right to wave it when you feel our Country is worth it. And to not fly it when you don't feel right in doing so. Heck, even Gov Christie ran the flag at half mast during Whitney Houston's memorial days. Individual choice.

  3. It's amazing what a white Republican has to do to be politically correct now days. But he had to do it to get the black vote. I bet not one black person thought he actually did it because he cared about Whitney Houston.

The question is: Will he lower the flag the next time a white performer dies?

Obama isn't that old and I think he still wants to be the Messiah and make the seas recede. I can see him putting some feelers out in Europe to head the EU and turn it back to socialism. First he has to convince them that debt doesn't matter like he has convinced his squadron of democrats.

He loves reading his teleprompter and being on TV to stoke his ego. He won't get that being laid back in Chicago. And, what's he going to do for transportation after he loses Air Force One and the "Beast"?

  5. The office of the Governor lowered the flag, not a white republican. It doesn't matter if he like Whitney Houston or not, she was a daughter of New Jersey.I thought it was a sign of respect.

Btw, I'm pretty sure flags were at half mast for Elvis and Sinatra.

  6. I owe my life to Obama.

I was in a coma for two years, until one of the nurses turned on the tv and Obama was explaining our energy policy, I had to wake up and turn it off.

  7. I think it was a sincere gesture. I heard Mr. Christie on Imus talking about it. I really hope that everything that anyone does needs to be thought of as a political statement, or PC, or to gain popularity. Not being naive, I understand, but I see people as sincere most of the time. Glass half full I guess.

Anyway, a beautiful Saturday - heading out for a while.

LOL And still the liberals here on ET lick that stuff up. Obama's energy policy is the biggest lie since Clinton said, "I did not have relations with that woman!" ha ha ha ha ha :D
