Odds Czar: Simple Biases in the Futures Markets 2007

Discussion in 'Journals' started by Art Collins, Dec 30, 2006.

  1. Art's futures biases for Mar 13.

A "1" means bullish bias. A "-1" means bearish bias. The total is the sum of biases. A positive sum will be long bias. A negative sum will be a short bias. A sum of zero will be a neutral bias.

Expect a down day in the indexes on Tuesday. All three broad signal boxes are flashing sells. We should also see continued strength in the foreign currencies. Notice the +6 either-or reading in the Swiss franc.

The signals posted today are yesterdays, note that there is no +6 for the Swiss and all are identical to yesterdays.

With one slight dissenting signal, the CzarCart indices are bearish for Tuesday. Also, expect further upside action in the currencies.

Thanks to "himself" for noticing I'd posted the wrong czarchart.

The indices are flashing sells in the 20 percent indicator in the second box. This is a reliable signal which, for me, negates the otherwise strong bullish readings. I intend to say thanks for today’s bounty and look elsewhere for tomorrow’s opportunity.

Unfortunately, we’re not left with much unless you want to consider the yen a stand-alone market. (A reasonable assumption). Both signal categories are urging sells there.

The lone sells signal in the less-frequent box of the continental currencies may actually prove reliable for Thursday. The yen made its downside reversal on Wednesday. Perhaps the others will play follow the leader, especially considering the renewed upside strength in the stock indices.

All signal groups are projecting downside action in the indices for Monday. We’re evidently not past the wake of last month’s mini-crash, so buckle up. Steep drops may be a mere day or two away.

For Wednesday, note the two less-frequent-signals to the upside in the 30 year bond. This is not negated anywhere else in the complex.

We’re also getting close to another stock market drop. If the calendar and less-frequent biases are an indication, Wednesday could be the day.
