Odds Czar: Simple Biases in the Futures Markets 2006

Discussion in 'Journals' started by Art Collins, Jan 2, 2006.

  1. based on the biases posted above for April 4th, Nasd = +7 bias count and Russell2K = +6 bias count.

Don't they mean that they are biased towards a rally and not a selloff?

also, given S&P = +3 bias, at least Nasd and Russell probably outperform the S&P... right? hope my interpretation of the posted biases is correct....

right, positive numbers are bullish. I've stated before though, the strength of the numbers don't mean much-. +1 and +4 test out about the same. what is more significant is that all three signal boxes are calling for upmoves (the odd non-contradictory neutral nothwithstanding.)

  3. Art's futures biases for April 5.

A "1" means bullish bias. A "-1" means bearish bias. The total is the sum of biases. A positive sum will be long bias. A negative sum will be a short bias. A sum of zero will be a neutral bias.
