  1. Art's futures biases for Feb 13.

A "1" means bullish bias. A "-1" means bearish bias. The total is the sum of biases. A positive sum will be long bias. A negative sum will be a short bias. A sum of zero will be a neutral bias.

The majority of the CarCharts are flashing bull signals for Wednesday. I suspect they may be worth following, particularly since the market closed near low tick suggesting near term capitulation. You tend to get better bear-follow-through prospects when the market rallies somewhat into the close on a melt day such as Tuesday. Then, it's the shorts that are showing late session apprehension.
If you are going to follow the long signals, it almost goes without saying that you should use extreme caution.

The CzarCharts continue to suggest a respite from the consecutive down days in the index complex. The odds favor a rally on Thursday.

Both the daily and monthly seasonal indicators have flipped to the long side for Monday, making the calendar biases unanimously bullish. We certainly can't discount the possibility that we're entering a panic selling climax, but I tend to doubt it. The market may look like crash mode, but it's pretty ratty crash mode at best. It’s as if nobody is too sure about the short-side risk—has the government really fired its last bullet or is there still a shoe to drop that could cause and upside explosion?
If you follow the index charts to the buy side tomorrow, make sure you play it within your risk tolerance. A bias just suggest "more likely than not"--it certainly doesn't guarantee anything.
