Odds Czar: Simple Biases In the Futures Market: 2009

Discussion in 'Journals' started by Art Collins, Jan 3, 2009.

  1. Art, admire your persistence in posting this informtion; however, the results,--particularly on the S&P e-mini-- seem to be negative vis-a-vis the S&P 500 as a benchmark.

    Am I wrong?

i think you might be. the attachment shows results of the 6 either-or indicators since 2001. this includes a $13,875 net profit in 2008--a time where, needless to say, the benchmark was negative.

    5 non-either ors to follow

  5. Art's futures biases for Jul 13.

A "1" means bullish bias. A "-1" means bearish bias. The total is the sum of biases. A positive sum will be long bias. A negative sum will be a short bias. A sum of zero will be a neutral bias.

  7. I was speaking of 2009 not 2008.

For Tuesday, note the unanimously bearish either-or and calendar indicators across the three indices. It's so overwhelming that I'm wondering if they're going to pull a second contrarian rabbit out of their hat.....
But then again, mine is not to wonder but to merely follow the signals....
