Odds Czar: Simple Biases In the Futures Market: 2009

Discussion in 'Journals' started by Art Collins, Jan 3, 2009.

  1. Art's futures biases for May 18

A "1" means bullish bias. A "-1" means bearish bias. The total is the sum of biases. A positive sum will be long bias. A negative sum will be a short bias. A sum of zero will be a neutral bias.

  4. Art, first congrats on your thread. Very refreshing to see someone being so open about a strategy/method/bias (whichever most accurately describes it).

In regards to the time based bias (DOTW DOTM, month) did you simply use buy at open/sell at close and group the results to find those bias?

Also is there any explanation in regards to the infrequent bias? or are these not for publication? (apologies if they are in the thread somewhere)

Hve you done any work with these bias on a longer time frame? Weekly charts etc?

  6. sorry ET, its 5am here and my brain isnt shutting down for the day. I saw the explanations for the either/or bias. But not for the infrequent bias (there is a good chance it was staring me in the face though)
