Odds Czar: Simple Biases In the Futures Market: 2008

Discussion in 'Journals' started by Art Collins, Dec 31, 2007.

  1. Art's futures biases for Mar 10.

A "1" means bullish bias. A "-1" means bearish bias. The total is the sum of biases. A positive sum will be long bias. A negative sum will be a short bias. A sum of zero will be a neutral bias.

The 30-year bonds are projecting an up-move for Monday. It's a lone argument, which I'm not generally not thrilled about following, but at least it is not being contradicted by the dead neutral 10- and 5- year readings.

Expect further strength in the currencies on Thursday. The majority of the index indicators say that Wednesday's down move should continue. I generally like to act off signals that are not contradicted anywhere within the complex, but that's not to say that "majority rules" isn't also a valid approach.

For Wednesday, there are solid sell signals in the bond complex and similarly strong buy ones in the currencies. There are also net sells in the indices, although they aren't flashing as emphatically.
