Occupy Wall Street

  1. what happened tickmagnet? a few hours ago you were certain the banks controlled the media. Starting to have your doubts because of one story on msnbc?

I keep trying to tell you, if anyone controls the media it is the sponser. They won't sponser a show unless the show has ratings. On rare occasions they may be concerned about content, but mostly it is about ratings.

I'll grant you, msnbc isn't going to say anything good about republicans and Fox isn't going to say anything good about democrats, but that is because they think that is what they have to do to get people to watch.

I think it's kind of funny. Both networks are like infomercials for their chosen party. Somebody ought to dig up some old Pravda or Soviet TV and see when it comes to propoganda how we compare.

  2. Somewhat related.

Barton Biggs did. He compared various country propoganda and its cumulative effect on the market, the market smelled bullshit.

  3. I don't know who they think they're fooling. It's this elitist idea that the average person is gullible or stupid. And mathmatically that's just not possible. The average person is average. He must by definition have average intelligence, otherwise it wouldn't be average.

I have a hard time believing that I'm so smart that I'm the only one who can see through all the propaganda.

But it's relatively easy to believe the media is so stupid that they think they are above average.

To be average doesn't mean one can not be stupid or gullible, it just means that the average/most people are not so smart. After all they/we can be convinced of lots of not true things easily... It is just question of time and propaganda efforts....

And I am talking about any nation, not just the USA....

    Stock market obsolete?

As far as unwashed, I live out in a small depressed town in the deep south.
No jobs, economy down, stores and towns look like ghost towns.
And there are poor, I go out and take pictures of run down buildings as a hobby, and when you get out of town, people still are using outhouses out here.

And since the tv has been shut off I haven't been watching the news.
I really don't give a shit about the news anymore.

I have been doing good trades since I shut it all down.

As far as the girls that got maced.
I don't have the time to go through all the video,I
have one thing one my mind during the day, first letter d last letter r.

Sorry didn't try to sound harsh.
    Lately, the trading has been
    too important.

I hope the thing in New York goes ok.
    I love the NYSE.
Went there as a kid, my dad worked for a NYSE member that had
a chair, when they had those.
I got to go out on the floor with him.
Been thinking about it a little lately.

  9. NYPD has become useless , crime rate is very high in NYC , they don't patrol enough crime areas , but love to ticket poor mexicans just for standing at the street corner.

blocking traffic in the middle of a road on a bridge is a lame excuse?
blocking some worker trying to get home is acceptable behavior?

that is lefty bs or is it merely liberal bs.
