  2. Without SOMEBODY making some money... to be grossly and unfairly taxed... while others get a "free ride"... there would be no wealth to redistribute.

Parasitic tit-suckers seem not to get that.

(Even my wife finally "got it" this week. She'd been on call... worked about an 80 hour week... was dog-tired... and this was the week she gets her annual incentive bonus, if any. Gummint took 40% of it right off the top.. and NOW she's finally pissed. "I worked my ass off... I spent 12 years in school/training after HS.. and sometimes 80 hour weeks... and THIS is what I get? FUCKED UP ONE SIDE AND DOWN THE OTHER SO THAT LAZY ASSES CAN GET WELFARE?")

Thank GAWD she finally "gets it"....

One of the interesting things to see is when a die hard lib gets his/her first "real" paycheck and sees the big chunk taken out by Uncle Sam. They never are prepared to see half their check go to taxes/401K/other deductions - never. I've seen more than one spontaneous conversion to conservative. It's always fun to point out that even that huge chunk wasn't enough and the government had to borrow a crapload more.

I've never seen a paycheck convert somebody to liberal though.

  5. yeah well, that's what I am saying. That CEOs 20 million bonus isn't going to go very far if you spread it out, but if he keeps 1 and the other 19 goes to 19 protestors they probably won't show up the next day. You want to keep the people under control, one by one you need to buy them off, and that means spending your money.

Right now only a small part of the poulation is bitching about taxes, and even though they bitch louder, their numbers are dwindling. More and more people pay no taxes so they are bitching that the ones that do don't pay enough.

It's a moot point, because all the taxes in the world won't pay for what we promised we would pay for.

But I agree, I think Medicare taxes should just be raised until it is totally solvent. Everybody that works pays medicare taxes, once it gets high enough everybody will bitch and then finally something may be done to fix a deteriorating fiscal situation.

  6. Rent and all my utilities comes to like 1100, we have a good cell plan like 125 for both lines unlimited everything, we tether our internet off that. No TV. Cars are paid off so we put like 500 a month away for the next car. Our health care is covered so I guess my compensation is more in the low 40k range. After groceries etc we still have plenty to do fun stuff and save a bit on top of the next car fund. Got memberships to the local zoo and stuff like that, so if we run low for the month still have something fun to do and we only spend a couple hundred a year on memberships like that. I honestly don't know how people can't live off what I do. I've got friends that make the same as me at work and they are in debt and broke every freakin month. I managed to save enough last year to buy like 7k worth of metal working equipemnt and now when I need cash i can make some little silver bullion products I designed and they sell pretty well if I have time.

  7. You ought to print this out into a detailed "How to" manual.
Make about 50K copies (you should be able to get a government grant to pay for it). :D
Now give it away for free or take donations for it at all of the "Occupy" events and watch all of the blank looks you get from all of the idiots protesting.
They don't want to get ahead if they have to put some effort into it. They want someone else to pay for their lowly existence.

The 60's protests were all about "Get the establishment goons". Move about 50 years ahead and the 60's protesters, that are still alive, ARE the establishment.:D

  8. Why does everyone turn this whole fiasco into socialist scum? As disorganized as the message is from the Wall Street protesters, I do not think there was ever a concise message of socialism. And WTF is this nonsense about Obama support, it's actually Wall Street & big corporates who benefit from Obama the most.

There are clear issues being outlined by the protesters:

    1) Paying taxes to bail out banks
    2) Bailout money equating to zero results for the mass population
    3) Growing unemployment while the Fed keeps working on QE programs

It's funny to read all these comments about commies & socialists when the very clear socialism is working for Wall Street and big corporates. Socialize the losses and privatize the wins is in clear effect.

I don't agree with the course of action take of this disorganized protest as there are no solutions being presented and this whole movement will be hijacked by counter-intelligence ops. But at least they are bringing attention to the issues.

What really needs to be done is a mass action of withdrawing deposits from banks and a refusal to pay taxes. Now THAT is a serious solution.

  10. My God! I am so tired of people bitching they cant get a job. If these low lifes who think they are too good to work at alot of places would come down to reality there are 1000's of jobs out there....that is IF your not lazy and If your not going to live with mama and Daddy until your 60 which is what most of these losers want to do . This country is full of greedy , lazy losers that want to do nothing but bitch and have someone else give them a handout!
