A few months ago you made it a point to ostracize anyone who read ZeroHedge, now I see you linking his articles and even quoting the TD.
I think he means the legit Tyler Durden, Palahniuk's creation. Rather than the the sky-is-falling variety.
As can be surmised by Maverick's somber mood today, the sky is falling. There is a pretty strong faction of anti-ZH'ers here. I sometimes suspect it's a coping mechanism to try and shoot the messenger of all things "doom and gloom".
I read zero hedge every day. But I don't believe all the bullshit on that site. There is a difference between reading Zero Hedge and making actual trading decisions from that site. I criticize people who hold that site up to be some kind of oracle. I read everything. So that includes Zero Hedge. I try to get a balanced look at things.
Seriously? Just because I'm not a perma-bear doesn't make me an anti_ZHer whatever the f*ck that is. I'm a quantitative trader. I don't make trading decisions based off of end of the world doom and gloom from blogs. Thank God.
I don't use terms like bull and bear market Denner. I'm not James Cramer. I'm not an investor. Traders don't use those terms. I buy what goes up and sell what goes down.
You must be new to trading then. Maverick74 Registered: Mar 2002 Posts: 10421 02-11-11 06:46 PM Huh? In 2000 that was the 8th year of the bull market that started in 1992. Over that 8 year period the market was up about 400%. The average bull market lasts about 7 years. We are 3 years into this one. Over the last 10 years this market is actually down, not up 400%. There are almost no similarities to where we are in the cycle compared to 2000. The only people who are saying it's different this time are the bears. Oh btw, another major difference, in 2000 almost everyone was in the market. This bull market is leaving everyone behind. Even those that actually were long got off the train a lot lower from here.
I don't make trading decisions off of that stuff. Someone posted in a thread about bull and bear market cycles and I commented. Do you even trade Denner? Because you seem to have a really tough time discerning between chatting on a forum and actually trading. I have posted on 100's of threads on all sorts of topics. Most of that stuff has nothing to do with "actual" trading. I'm not an investor. I could give two shits where the market is going. Seriously, how did this topic even come up on a thread about OWS? LOL.
