Ocasio-Cortez may take on Wall Street, fellow Democrats on finance panel

  1. Perhaps she will grow into the position, but right now all she has going for her is the celebrity platform the media is providing. The lack of content in her "ideas" is stunning. When Whoopi says hey kid, give it a rest and learn something before speaking you know she has a long ways to go. But hey, she collects the check and all the perks none the less. Sweet.

You may want to consider that those "tons of ways to create deductions and exemptions," are, like the bracket rates, subject to change.

That turned out to be enough for someone else to get themselves elected President! And too, she isn't handicapped by being orange! :D

With all the typos... that was ridiculous.

I explained it is also wrong to say she is only going after the .05%. She said as you climb the ladder you should be contributing more.

She is out to increase tax everyone as you climb the ladder presumably on a progressive scale. 70 percent is simply where she stops... for now.

  6. That is why it will fail, the infintessimally small amount of people who are affected by the $10 million level ar enothign compared to the millions of people who use numerous normal deductions to flal back from the highest marginal rate.

Remember, this is not just about individuals, this also affects thousands of partnerships and LLCs with pass through taxation. Many people look at this as whether you are making millions as an income but let's not forget the millions making millions through pass through entities where the actual money is on paper but the tax liability is real.

    Yeah, there is that...

After all, they elected Barrack Obama for 8 years nearly destroying the country. We've had a couple of good years now with many who had financial difficulties beginning to recover. Hard to see, for me, how the electorate votes away prosperity but you are right about the stupidity out there.
