Obtaining Trading Capital

  3. Funky, are you sure it works? Sorry for being a pessimist, but how many times have you (and myself!) had a warm eureka moment in trading, only to be blown apart hours, days or even months later after tireless work?

    Generally I've learned that automated trading many strategies/instruments at once is the way to go. With that said, you should at least put down a few hundred dollars for more data. After all, you are working code that will make you rich, not some lame hobby. This is a profession, even for retail traders! :)


    edit...porting will fix the data. Tradestation is not bad by some people's views, but certainly it's not the best. Ninjatrader is a POS but works with C#. Also, are you in all of these stocks at once? Maybe you don't need that much capital because you will be out most of the time.
