I do not have a first hand familiarity with Don or his firm, but I can say without hesitation that your assumptions are absurd and completely illogical.

It seems like you typed before you thought hard about what you were saying when writing this.

If I understand you, you believe that a discretionary trader cannot make money on selective trend following strategies. Do you really mean to exclude this possibility, and if so, would you care to share your rationale for such an opinion?

 

I am that sure Don is aware that traders make money with trend following and reversals. If I understand you, Rockford, are you saying that these cannot be done trading on the NYSE?

 

I believe that this type of insulting post says nothing about the topic and drives people away from the thread. I have complained to the moderator. Suggest participants should attack each other's arguments instead of insulting each other.

 

No, I didn't say that and I don't believe it either. I believe that traders do make money on NYSE using both trend following and trend reversing strategies.

 

Regardless, it is still an illogical and absurd asumption and I have challenged it in the interest of seeking truth. If all you can do is complain then it adds weight to my statement.

I don't mind it from others, but I consider it harassment when it comes from you, because you nearly always misinterpret me, and because correcting you is a waste of my time and disrupts the thread. You have said in many posts I believe, and correct me if I am wrong here, that you felt it would be a waste of time for anyone to learn how to trade on the NYSE. Yet now you say traders can indeed profitably trade on the NYSE.

I would like to know what you actually mean by these seemingly conflicting statements.
