Lots of good points! But I think Jack's empty, pompous claims are better described as flatulent boasts.
I appreciate the time you spent formulating such a long post. However, rather than parse each paragraph and craft a response, let me just say this: Jack posted this P & L three years ago from a session in which he was teaching a beginning trader. As I have said in each of these threads. The 'proof' has been available all along. People simply fail to go out and find it. Jack told everyone where to go find it, yet nobody went and looked. I have provided names of people who have posted their trades in advance. I have called trades in advance. I have now linked to a P & L - all within this thread. - Spydertrader
You forgot to mention that in teaching his student he was using the IB demo account which at that time was 15 minutes delayed. He was called out on it and has never recovered from that fiasco. Hershey muttered something or other about practicing doing executions.
Spyder, I do not disbelieve that people can trade net profitably. I am not suggesting that Jack is necessarily a losing trader. I am not saying that isolated trading calls in advance cannot make money. However, your hyperlink does not close the gap between our opposing views of Jack's performance claims. Anything I have seen thus far remains a far cry from making the 3 times the daily range with regularity, or averaging 4-7% on account equity per day. Those are the claims I am disputing, not simple profitability. (The "always in" just makes it that much less believable to me, personally. But perhaps that is my own bias.)
Forgot? I pulled the P & L from this thread. I found no mention of what you claim I 'forgot.' Perhap's you could link to where this P & L was used in the manner that you assert, so that I might also have the opportunity to 'see' the facts as you have presented them. - Spydertrader
