Not at all. In fact, quite the contrary. Max, who has repeatedly defended the "honor" of outed racists under his previous user names (in the name of "free speech" and all that), is trying to smooth over some truths with false equivalencies to downplay the uglies. As an aside, when you find yourself in agreement with Max, it's time to recalibrate your compass.
That's what happens when you spend more time around people that don't have their heads up their a$$es.
It's not against the law to be racist here in the US , (i don't know about canada) and I will defend your right to be one ( racist fool).
