yet the Soviet Union showed you that socialist government stifles opportunity. Business tycoons typically do reinvest, see Gates, Allen, and Buffet for examples. Wall street bankers are not really business tycoons, yet the government bailed them out- another strike against gov't run anything. The work force is being raped by the government much worse than by any business, and it is being raped in the all in the name of fairness. There are now just as many people on the government dole as there are working, and to support them requires massive taxes and/or debt. The democrats have discovered their power, handing out government cash. The death spiral is in full force.
What's disturbing and a bad omen for our society is how vehemently ( if not savagely) this idea is attacked and ridiculed. Bad times are coming if this attitude dominates for too long.
