That's one thing that surprised me in the last election, libtards who were proPaul. Now, I can see hoping that he'd win the GOP nomination so he could get his kiester kicked even worse than that POS McCain. Besides being 100% unelectable, Paul is probably more extreme than The One, except in a completely different direction. The Obamassiah is for higher taxes on anybody that works for a living even if it brings in less revenue in the name of "fairness". Paul is in favor of a flatter and smaller tax curve - "regressive" and much lower. The ObamaNation wants to put coal mines out of business, Paul wants to let people burn as much coal as they want (when they aren't splitting atoms, that is).

The Obamassiah wants to implement a national sales tax in addition to the income tax, Paul wants to abolish the income tax and forget about a sale tax. The One wants year long unemployment benefits, stacks of food stamps and free houses, healthcare and cars for everybody! Paul says if people want that stuff they can damn well pay for it themselves, we're already spending way too much on welfare and it needs to be greatly cut if not eliminated altogether.

To be in favor of the ObamaNation and say you support Paul is like saying you support prohibition, and also support the idea of providing free heroin to gradeschoolers.

  6. believe me, i give thanks every day that the village idiot is no longer prez.

Obama knew what was in store for him and that is why he feels as if he has to do what he is doing but if you closed minded whiners complain about, "why is he treating foreign prime ministers and kings with deference" or "why does he have to spend so much to try to kickstart the economy" or whatever other whimpers litter this forum on a daily basis, then you have to accept that all the shit that we are in just happened to occur during Bush's illustrious tenure.
like if you take over a biz from a surly and stupid owner that has pissed off a lot of clients, then you may be more inclined to kiss ass to make up for the previous manager. if they had almost run the biz into the ground by idiotic management or purchase decisions, then sometimes you have to do some wacked things to get the biz back on its feet. if anyone asks why are they kissing ass and closing out items at less than cost, then 3rd parties in the know would likely say EVERY TIME they were asked, "it was because of the previous loser." Capice?

seriously, if you were around then, the repubs were complaining about Carter in Reagan's first years which went from hideous to worse, at least some of the numbers. what month are we in with Obama and are most numbers still getting worse?

  7. Obama is the grandaddy of all whiners. Sending stupid Axlerod
to call Prejean a "dog". Mocking Southern and Northern
Americans that would cling to "guns and religion". Laughing
about Americas financial problems on 60 Minutes and on and
on. You voted a crackpot into office, live with it.

Carters problems were exacerbated by the Iranian oil cutoff
and hostage taking, not to mention the failed rescue attempt
inside Iran. Carter was a mediocre pres. who encountered
    a measure of bad conditions.

Obama is and will be an abject failure.

  8. You guys may call me crazy, but I don't like Obama either. I like his social policies like supporting science, stem-cell research, etc. But I hate TARP... I'm against the bailouts. I also don't like his tax increases and so forth.

The things that irritate me is that many of his economic views are the same as Bush's... and I think that many die hard Republicans who watch too much Fox don't realize that... so I end up defending Obama. The same goes for this bowing to a Saudi deal... it's completely out of proportion. So I defend Obama against nut job attacks.

It bothers me when Fox blames Obama for expanding the budget and the role of government because Bush did the same.... people need to realize that. Also remember that Bush supported TARP... and that Paulson was no different than Geithner.

As some of you know, I like Ron Paul. I donated money to his campaign, I bought shirts and fleeces from his campaign store and I even handed out pamphlets to my friends and neighbors. I feel like Ron Paul is a true conservative and Republican, one that has been missing since Raegan. It really frustrates me when people call Bush a fiscal conservative. He should've been a Democrat. Same goes for McCain... look at his voting record in the past decade. Nothing fiscally conservative about him either.

Unfortunately, I don't think the establishment (Republican leaders or Democrats) really want Paul having too much power. I really don't think that the Republicans and Democrats are that different anyway. In 2004, the parties separated themselves on dumb issues like gay-marriage and abortion... How much of the population does that affect? Who cares. There are few true Republicans like Ron Paul left. It's unfortunate that there is no fiscal conservatism or a small government ideology left in the Republican Party.
