Obamas comments on Police arrest of his friend.

  1. This has to be the most laughable argument in this entire thread. Are blacks pulled over a disproportionate number of times vs. whites, by cops? Definately. Is a disproportionate amount of crime also committed by blacks? Definately. So what is your argument? What do you propose cops do to equal out the situation, perhaps they should be pulling over 70 year old white grandma Millie pushing her two grandchildren in a baby stroller to make up for this injustice. Maybe they should designate an equal number of police officers to patrol the streets of orange county as they do to patrol compton. It is the cops' job is to find as many criminals as possible, and obviously they go to areas where there is higher crime rates to find these criminals, unfortunately for blacks the crime rate is much higher in black areas than white. My best friend is a brown Muslim, and he has been profiled at the airport time and time again because of this, i was with him once when this happened, you know who he gets mad at? He gets mad about Muslim extremists in the middle east who choose to suicide bomb buildings and kill thousands of innocents every month, because they cast a bad light on the entire muslim religion. Perhaps it is time to point the finger at the people who cause the problem, as opposed to people doing their job.

That being said, Please tell me where the racial profiling began when it was in fact a NEIGHBOUR who called the police to report this situation. It was not as if the cops just happened to be driving by and saw a black dude opening his door and decided to stop him. The bottom line is all the professor had to do was hand over his I.D., and clear up the situation and be polite, instead he decided to throw a temper tantrum about racism and insult the police officers mother.

The reason why the professor was angry was because he made a stupid assumption that the cops had seen him "breaking" into his own house, and therefore they just wanted to rough up some n%$#^. The fact remains that all the cops did was their job, they responded to a neighbours complaint that someone was breaking into the house, if you wanna label someone a racist, label the neighbour a racist, not the cops.

  2. Tell me something if you were a police officer who responded to a call about a store robbery and all you knew was that the suspect was a light skinned male, about 6'2, lean build which one of these 2 would you be more likely to set your sights on. If both were walking down the street?

Racial profiling exists, not because the entire police force is racist (dont get me wrong i know there actually are tons of racist cops out there), it exists because a disproportionate amount of crime is committed by people who share the same appearance. If you wre not able to short list what a criminal looks like as a police officer and you had to literally scan every single face in the crowd and just pull over whoever you saw you would not be very good at your job.

  4. Whatever moron you get the point i meant someone who had a lighter complexion. I supposed now you will label me a racist huh? Forgive me if im not very good at labelling someones race. I guess since you have nothign else to debate based on the previous argument you feel the need to point out that a man who looks white is in fact latino or whatever he is.

  5. I'm the moron?

    LOL!

You are the one who posted the photo of Danny Trejo, and asked which one would have fit the description of the "white" male...

  8. I would like to dig this matter more before commenting. What I have found out from media news is that Police officer, Sgt. James Crowley asked professor Henry Louis Gates Jr move from inside his home into front porch of his house, so he can make his alleged charge of public disorderly conduct on Gates.

So, you can raise your voice inside your home, but once you step outside your home, anything can be public disorderly conduct in police book. :D

Anyway, moral of the story, you just can not be sure if the police is helping you or try to get you whenever you meet them.

Police work is always tough and danger, and I always think most of them are decent and honorable.

I note that about 50% of latinos self identify as white.

optional zzz was dead as wrong again.

If the guy with the ink is not a white guy, what race it he?

I can not wait for some sort of zzz spin on this one.

Will he call me a racist? A republican? A evil Christian. He will try to do anything but admit he was wrong.

  10. Latinos are not a race they can be asian, white, black, mestizo, native american, etc.

Most "latinos" are of mixed race.

Native Americans in the US and Canada are not considered to be "anglos" only on the basis of them speaking english. The "guy with the ink" is a MESTIZO, meaning mixed European and Native.
