Obamanation

  1. Cruise control? Dude! Bush spent like there was no tomorrow. Looks like he might have been right about no tomorrow. Yes, Obama is out doing him in the spending category. Why not? If we're going to have welfare for the wealthy, we might as well have it for the poor. It's free ice cream for everyone, and to claim republicans are trying to stop that mindset is more than a little disingenuous.

  2. we are all traders, for the most part on these threads....

ever use the simulator on your trading platform?

if you didn't have the simulator, God Forbid! you did this in real mode with live money,

but at some time we all have been here, and we are still here because we either fixed what was wrong or spent our way out of the loss

    A) all your trades fail and you're at a loss with still 4+ hours to go

    1) do you keep trading with the objective to lessen the loss and not print it on your trading sheets for the day?

    2) do you commit more money, resources, time, energy and mental / emotional energy in an attempt to trade your way out of the whole?

    3) do you stop early for the day, let the day close out and take the hefty loss, thus being out of business for that day, and possibly that week, if not longer?

    ------

the only acceptable answer is to commit more resources, money, energy, fresh pot of coffee towards trading your way out of the loss and printing either BE (break even) or a small profit (just to cover commissions)...

    the only acceptable answer....

they even teach this in business school...

why be surprised that that was the play that was called for the US Economy? The books aren't closed yet.

  3. I made no such claim about republicans, if that's what your inferring. My point was the speed at which each are traveling at while driving down the same road.

  4. Bush had a recession caused by the collapse of the internet bubble, 9/11, Katrina & Rita, etc.
    None are free.
The acceleration of the spending came in when the Obama & the Democrats took over Congress.
All earnings of an individual belong to him. When the government taxes him, that's when the redistribution of wealth come in. In other words, no, we are not subsidizing the wealthy.

The poor can sell their assets, their house, car, cell phone, dog, etc. [IMG]

  5. phesants, all!,

crush them under your feet as you push your way past them (former co-workers at GS, MER, BSC, JPM, SHL, C, BAC, etc.) on your way to the subway and the LIRR, or CT/MetroNorth GCT stations.

the nerve of them to loose their place on the throne, and then expect someone to feel for them, let alone care, or for their children, wives that don't work, nurses / nannies, mortgages or car loans...

    tramps, all!

    Amharets! All!

  6. You're right, I was on a serious rant rage yesterday. This shit has made me crazier than usual.
I just cannot for the life of me understand how people are willing to give a pass to those that brought down the economy of the entire world, yet somehow find it OK to throw the working class under the bus. It makes no sense! It's like plea bargining a serial killer down to community service, and sending the candy bar thief to the electric chair.
I know there's noboby innocent in this mess, but I'm just saying, have said, and will continue to say, if we're going to forgive, forget, and re-finance the bastards that brought down the world ecomomy, ruining millions of lives, then I don't want to hear any shit about some poor unemployed guy getting a lousy 400 bucks a week for unemployment. If no one is accountable, then no one is accoutable, top to bottom. Which is why I say this shit just can't continue over the long haul.

  7. In 2005, I was a low-level manager and my take home pay is less than $400 a week working full time.
These people are getting paid $400 a week for doing nothing !? [IMG]

  8. So what! The uber wealthy are getting tax breaks that they don't need either. It's no longer about who needs what. It's about the welfare state for the wealthy also has to pay the not so wealthy, regardless of whether they deserve it or not. Free ice cream for everyone! Can't complain about deficits and then give money to those that don't need it. Not without being entirely disingenuous , which is something the republicans have taken to a fine art nowdays.
No doubt they'll find the money to fund the greed of the power broking flesh peddlers through cutting SSN and Medicare, at which point the people should rally, march on D.C., storm the gates, and burn the f'n place to the ground.

  9. 377OHMS

    377OHMS

Sound fiscal policy. Cut spending on socialist programs and cut taxes on job-creators. If Obama isn't careful he is going to stimulate the economy and create jobs and that seems to really piss you libtards off something awful. :D

That forced healthcare thing has got to be repealed or starved-out as well. I'll be really happy to see that thing die.

  10. Careful what you wish for. If we revert back to the stone age, there won't be Obamacare, social security, unemployment, etc. Spending cuts due to no government. It'll be every man for himself, only the strong will survive, the roots of capitalism.
Ah, the good ole days! [IMG]
