  1. Is your wife still deluded into thinking that Congress is forcing her to provide medical care? Or was that just you?

If you are going to provide me with health care... pay for it.
If you are going to mandate health care, at least set up a system of competition.

Do not pertend to be a reformer and then let Big Pharma and big insurance dictate the terms to congress through Senator Baucus and recently retired congress who jammed through part D and now serve as lobbyists.

Obamacare is a disgusting cave in.
It was an abortion of healthcare reform.

Where were the true democrats the ones not bought by lobbyists who could have made a good health care bill.

If you are going to give us socialism at least make it good.
Let the govt pay for it. Tell the drug companies and the insurance company there is a new sheriff in town and our Democrat congress people can't be bought.

Obama care was was than a epic fail. It was an abortion of an opportunity to see best of what the left could offer.

    This backlash was expected.
Remember Obermann's rant the first time he hard about that bill ... that was just about only time he has been honest.

  4. So called small govi republicans should be careful what they wish for. Such as the right wing solution of allowing health care insurance to be bought and sold across state lines. This will only set up another HUGE bureaucracy as EVERY state will have to have their own Insurance Commissioner to oversee every plan that tries to set up shop in their state and the endless administrations that goes along with that.

Which will in turn create an enormous off-shore re-insurance business some of which will have dubious repute all competing on price

    No free lunch brotha.

A reasonable concern, I had not thought about because I would expect a federal system would preempt all the state systems. If congress could not even get that right, then whats the point.

“The Senate Bill with the mandate must be defeated, if not in the Senate, then in the House. Health care reform that benefits the industry at the cost of the people is intolerable and there are no moral constructs in which it can be supported. And if still the bill, and this heinous mandate become law, there is yet further reaction required. I call on all those whose conscience urges them to fight to use the only weapon that will left to us if this bill as currently constituted becomes law. We must not buy federally-mandated insurance, if this cheesy counterfeit of reform is all we can buy. No single payer? No sale. No public option? No sale. No Medicare buy-in? No sale.

I am one of the self-insured, albeit by choice. And I hereby pledge that I will not buy this perversion of health-care reform. Pass this at your peril, senators. And sign it at yours, Mr. President. I will not buy this insurance. Brand me a law-breaker if you choose. Fine me if you will. Jail me if you must. But if the Medicare buy-in goes but the mandate stays, the people who fought so hard and and sincerely to bring sanity to this system must kill this mutated, ugly version of their dream because those elected by us, to act for us, have forgotten what must be the golden rule of healthcare reform. It is the same rule to which physicians are bound by oath: First, do no harm.

    Goodnight, and good luck.”

Obermann displaying all his ego, qnd all his self importance.... but he was honest and at its core as americans we should protest tyranny and the work of our crooked congress.

You know, you should really think twice before offering advice or making political calls. Your last big call didn't work out too well. Instead of "another Republican 40 years in the desert after the GOP implodes before his eyes", your side took the biggest drubbing in a generation.

  8. And I stand by that. Chances are that Barry will be President in 2012. Limbaugh damn sure won't. I hate teaching lessons to newpies but It wasn't a generational election; 1993 was a pretty significant event.

Did you happen to miss that?

Qustion Arnie: What My side? Please do elaborate.
