Obama’s Trump Card

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Tom B, Apr 26, 2011.

  1. Funny, but I thought that was the best part of his essay. Grassroots republicans are sick of timid, apologetic leaders who run on a platform of "We suck but not as bad as they do" and whose main goal when on Tv is to get across the message that "we're not as bad as you think."

Either a party's principles are worth defending or they're not. Give obama credit, he is out there doing his best to argue the democrats' core principle of stealing money from those who earned it and giving it to his supporters.

Trump is the first republican of any note who has had the stones to actually criticize obama and call him a terrible president. John McCain fired presidential staffers who called obama a radical socialist, which he clearly is. Trump may bring a lot of problems with him, but he is a breath of fresh air.

And then they trot out a Ryan plan.

That sounds like more "he's worse", only he's not saying he's bad (and never would). As for "radical socialsim", you're either joking or you don't read history.

  3. At least half of us are already sick of Odumbo... and don't feel much better about milk-toast, fork-tongue Republicans... you know, like Boehner.

Perhaps we'll give The Donald a shot, in spite of his "problems" (which I don't really know what his "problems" are... are they worse than the assclowns we have in DC now?). I can't imagine how he could be anywhere nearly so bad as Odumbush...

If you all recall, much of Odumbo's vote came from those who were "fed up with Bush's policies and wanted nothing to do with anything which would resemble the same". So Odumbo swept in on deceptive promises of "change".

Couldn't we see that again? Perhaps "Anyone BUT Odumbo in 2012" will be the catch phrase... like the ones the Leftists are so clever at crafting.

  4. The catch phrase for Obama will be "Leading From Behind".

    This is an interesting spin

One might see as -- guns - mistrust that the left is going Chavez on us so we better be able to defend ourselves.

God-- sure - a large group of scum on the hill pretends they care about our cultures core values of God, family and country... so I would agree the bull shiters on the hill do pretend that is what they care about to.

    Gays-

Those arguing to change the meaning of a institution which has been around thousands of years are doing the manipulating. Why are they not pushing for plural marriages as well.

  7. Trump is a huge gift to Obama.Rather then talking about 4.00 gas,Libya and the other unpopular wars, the GOPs top 2012 candidates etc let most political coverage be on Trump and birthers

When Bush had falling poll numbers, unpopular wars,4.00 gas etc thats all the media would focus on.

Obama owes a huge debt of gratitude to Mr Trump

I have no problem with plural marriages. Actually I don't believe in marriage at all. We have all these hard-baked ideas about what is 'right' and 'what is good' but if you really get down to it, often it just boils down to 'what is customary' gets labeled 'good'. There's no real justification for it. I recommend a movie called The Holy Mountain. It really opened my eyes to what a crazy world we live in.

Seriously...'live and let live'. They aren't hurting anyone!

People get all pissed off if they see a same-sex kiss on TV. Stop and think about that....

Two people express love for each other, and you have others who are up in arms about our decay of 'decency'. WTF? It's a messed up world. Some types of touching are 'ok'. Other types of touching and 'you go to hell'....I don't know, maybe I'm not elaborating enough, but it so blatantly absurd to me.

I wish we could all set aside any beliefs we have that are based on what someone else told us...that was passed down. And think for ourselves and draw our own conclusions

  10. No doubt, Trump is a gift to Obama, but the mother of all trump cards will be 2 weeks before the election when Obama whisks out his Long Form BC. and sends the opposition in a damage control frenzy, blaming each other while the election train choo-choo's pass them. :D
