Obama will impose martial law they said, he'll impose a military dictatorship they said...

  1. I am comparing protests to protests, it is sad the looters and rioters took advantage of the situation.

But the police used tear gas and rubber bullets against the protestors who were peacefully standing around while they ignored the looters and people causing damage.

Thank you for admitting that peaceful protests are legal.

So why did the police attack peaceful protestors or yank 2 students out of a car and taser them and break the windows?

  2. Yeah...the cops are not just walking up to random people and beating them....sure...

  3. I don't know all the details of the two students other than the cops were fired by those who I assume do know the details. I support the decision. Riots will bring out the worst from both sides.

There's plenty video evidence of the national guard & cops doing just that.

  5. The rubber bullets should be used to disrupt rioters and looters and those psoing a significant danger, same with the tear gas. The Mayor's already said they would not enforce the curfew.

How about the cops not watch shops get looted while clearing an intersection so the prez can stnad in front of a church.

Police had an easy decision to make, let's use the weapons on protestors mainly and do little to stop the looting. I do not understand that choice. People marching down the middle of the street is peaceful and was in many instances. When it was not then by all means clear it out.

But we cannot pretend that the 2 Atlanta college students were the exception when we have a few media people in the hospital from getting hit in the face with rubber bullets or a CNN reporter arrested live on the air for doing nothing.

Police have not learned anything and are being led by mentally challenged leaders in the department and training.

  6. I think you're referring to the white supremacists posing as Antifa et al. It's important to get those pesky details right.

  7. the details are important. they were sitting in their car stuck in the traffic when 6 cops surrounded the car, busted the windows open and tasered both of them and dragged them out of the car.

What about the videos of press being assaulted for just standing there?

Looters action does not defend the police action on those who are NOT looting.

That is like me saying 4 guys robbed my store so I am going to the corner and picking out 4 people and stabbing them in the leg.

  8. Please show me a full video of a cop walking up to someone who is doing absolutely nothing, there are no words spoken, no physical confrontation of any kind, no resistance to any order to move, and then beating on them. Then you have an example which should be addressed and prosecuted.

And it's been going on for decades. Cop violates someones rights; keeps job because he was doing as trained; lawsuit; big settlement paid by tax payers; rinse, repeat.

No one ever says, Hey! wait af minute! Why does this bs keep happening?!

  10. My point is there are plenty of peaceful protests that were steamrolled by police while cameras were filming looters breaking into stores and the police decided to back off becuase it was only property and they did not want to confront anyone. You are police or you are not police.

Bring in the stormtroppers to clear the area where people are bashing windows and looting and secure that area so that civilians were not beaten trying to defend their homes from assholes while caring more about "We need to own this intersection" which is meaningless so fire bullets and tear gas.

I have no sympathy for looters and people busting up windows for nothing, I would have paid to sit and watch them get gassed and rubber bulletted. Not a show of force to occupy an intersection.
